Who we help

Two types of client.
One focus: better performance.

ALLANEX works with technology businesses that want to improve, scale or prepare for what comes next, and with organisations that need stronger strategy, operations and leadership across their technology function.

The work is different, but the objective is the same: clearer decisions, stronger operations and better commercial outcomes.

Technology Business Owners & CEOs

The business has grown, but parts of the operating model have not kept up. We work with founders, CEOs and investors to improve how technology businesses sell, deliver, operate and grow. The work may involve service design, commercial performance, sales effectiveness, leadership, operating structure, margin improvement, acquisition integration or exit preparation.

The objective is not growth at any cost. It is to build a stronger, more repeatable and more valuable business, with less reliance on individual people and better visibility across performance.

Sounds like
  • "Revenue is growing, but profit is not improving with it."
  • "Too much of the business still depends on the founders."
  • "We need to improve sales, delivery and accountability before the next stage of growth."

CEOs, CIOs & Technology Leaders

Technology is critical to the organisation, but strategy, ownership or execution is not where it needs to be. We help organisations improve how technology is planned, selected, designed, governed and operated. Engagements can cover technology strategy, architecture, cybersecurity, vendor management, product selection, operating models, major projects or executive technology leadership.

The advice is independent and grounded in delivery experience. We work with internal teams and existing partners, provide the specialist capability required, and remain accountable for recommendations that can be implemented and operated.

Sounds like
  • "Our roadmap is a list of projects, not a business plan."
  • "Our vendors are driving too much of the technology agenda."
  • "We need senior technology leadership, but not necessarily another permanent executive."

Boards, Investors & Acquirers

The decision requires an experienced view of both the business and the technology beneath it. We support boards, investors and acquirers with operational reviews, technology due diligence, integration planning, value creation and executive support. Our experience building, acquiring, integrating and operating technology businesses allows us to assess more than the headline numbers or technical environment alone.

We look at how the business sells, delivers, manages risk, retains customers, uses technology and converts revenue into sustainable value.

Sounds like
  • "We need to understand what is really driving the margin."
  • "The technology looks sound, but we are less certain about the operating model."
  • "We need an experienced operator to support the business after the transaction."

Technology-Dependent Organisations

The organisation depends on technology every day, but nobody senior owns it. This is common in businesses that rely heavily on their network, cybersecurity and infrastructure without the internal leadership to manage them well: an internal team without senior direction, a provider nobody is really managing, or a strategy that was never properly written down.

We provide the ownership these functions need: setting direction, selecting vendors, managing risk and reporting to the leadership team in language they can act on, at a fraction of the cost of a full-time executive hire.

Sounds like
  • "Our IT provider marks their own homework and we can't tell if we're getting value."
  • "Nobody at this table actually owns technology or cybersecurity."
  • "We need senior oversight of our technology function, but not a full-time hire."
